In the distant future, most of the natural world is unrecognizable. The interests of corporations have prevailed and humanity is forced to live in densely packed cities. Older generations can somewhat remember trees, lakes, and mountains, but their memory is fading.

Most contemporary media is centered around a return to nature. Movies, music, and even video games are dominated by this idea. Otso is a virtual reality video game that allows its players to experience the beauty of nature in a first person perspective. Playing as the titular bear, one can explore an open world that is meant to mimic a vast nature preserve before its degeneration. However, not everything is as it seems, and you must remain vigilant of your surroundings.
